July Garden Tours and Daylily Show

Each year our July meeting is held in a different location.  There are usually two or three NDS members from that area whose gardens are selected to host tours.  This gives the membership a chance to see how other members grow and show their daylilies.  This year we visited the lovely gardens of Scott Keller and Robin Lowe.  Thank you to our hosts for all their hard work in getting their gardens ready for company.​

As part of the July meeting, a bloom show is held, with members being able to bring as many blooms as they want to enter in the show.  With NDS meetings held at various Nebraska/Iowa locations, this sometimes means picking flowers in the dark in order to travel the distance needed to complete the entry process by 9:30 in the morning.

The results of our Flower Show are determined by popular vote.

The 2024 Garden Tours and Flower Show will be held in the Sloan, Iowa area (details to come).
