Club Programs
Door Prizes
At each regular meeting, there is a drawing for two door prizes - a $150 and a $100 gift certificate to be used with the Daylily Hybridizers of the winners' choice. The drawing is for those present at the meeting who have been NDS members for a year or longer.
Door Prize plant is to be purchased within 60 days. The treasurer should be notified so a check can be written to the selected hybridizer and the NDS Vice-President notified of plant choice. All door prize winners will grow the plants they receive with the best daylily culture they can. To be eligible for future door prizes, the winners must bring to an NDS auction the same number of fans from the increase as they originally received. If the member receives one fan, the member returns one fan of the increase. If the member receives two fans, the member returns two fans of the increase. Plant must be returned to an auction within two years.
Club Plants
Club plants will be given out at the May meeting each year to members who've had perfect meeting attendance the prior year (4 meetings: January/February, May, July & August). Members who attend 3 meetings in a year's time may also earn a Club Plant by accumulating at least $15 worth of stamps on their BUCK$ Card.
The plants are to be kept two years or less. After two years, all the increase of the Club Plant is to be returned for club auction at either the May or August meeting.
Please DO NOT set any pods on Club Plants as it takes too much energy for the plant to increase this way. Failure to abide by the above will automatically exclude said member from any further plant drawings whether it be Club Plants or Door Prizes. Winning a Club Plant drawing DOES NOT exclude the member from the opportunity to win a door prize as well.
BUCK$ Cards
At the beginning of each year NDS Members are given BUCK$ Cards, which are stamped throughout the year. Members may redeem their cards at our August Plant Auction for credit on their purchases. The more active you are in the club the more stamps you will receive and the more credit you will earn. The total value of auction wins are reduced dollar-for-dollar based on the value of accumulated card stamp dollars. For credit, Buck$ Cards must be presented at time of August auction payment in the year that they are earned.
