Each year there are generally two or three gardens selected at the host area for garden tours. This gives the membership a chance to see how other members grow and show their daylilies. This year we visited Mary Ann Wolcott's lovely gardne and took virtual tours of Carlene Potts and Janet Haag's Gardens. Carlene's garden in Ogallala and Janet's in McCook are a bit too far away for our morning garden tours, so they brought their gardens to us with wonderful power point presentations. Thank you ladies for all your hard work in getting your gardens ready and for putting together your presentations.
Shown below are some the flowers shown on the tours.

Each year as part of the July meeting, a judged bloom show is held, with members being able to bring as many blooms as they want to enter in the bloom show. With NDS meetings held at various Nebraska/Iowa locations, this sometimes means picking flowers in the dark in order to travel the distance needed to complete the entry process by 9:30 in the morning.
The results of our Flower Show were determined by a Popularity Vote.
In 2019 NDS had the honor of hosting the Region One Meeting July 5-7th, so there was no Daylily Show.

One of the most exciting things about the Flower Show were the number of Seedlings entered. Daylily hybridizing is definitely alive and well in the Midwest.
