Each year as part of the July meeting, a judged bloom show is held, with members being able to bring as many blooms as they want to enter in the bloom show. With NDS meetings held at various Nebraska/Iowa locations, this sometimes means picking flowers in the dark in order to travel the distance needed to complete the entry process by 9:30 in the morning. On July 16, 2011 there once again a large number of entries, giving the judge, Jim Bernt, quite a job to pick what he saw as the best of the day. Shown below are some flowers from the garden tour

Each year there are generally two or three gardens selected at the host area for garden tours. This gives the membership a chance to see how other members grow and show their daylilies. The 2011 garden tour was held in the Lincoln, NE area.
